The licensing model is based on Agents and Remote Clients (Operator, Adroit Air, Performance Anywhere, Secure Mobile Gateway)
Choosing the right Adroit Ignite HMI Software package for your automation solution
In order to size your system correctly, you need to take the following into consideration.
• The number of Agents - A good starting point would be the number of I/O that will be scanned in from a device, such as a PLC. This would determine the minimum Agent size system. After familiarising yourself with the Agent architecture, both value and functionality, you can then decide what additional Agents you will be using and the sum of the I/O Agents (such as Digital and Analogue) plus the value add Agents (DBAccess, Expression etc.) will determine the license required (8 -Free, 30, 75 or 150)
• The protocol drivers - All Adroit Ignite HMI drivers (Mitsubishi, MODBUS, OMRON etc.) are included in the package except for the OEM licensed drivers (Siemens Ethernet and Allen Bradley, both available at an additional cost)
• The number of concurrent connections the system will have - The number of remote concurrent connections in the Adroit Ignite HMI is limited to 3. These can be made up of any of the following:
- Operators, Microsoft Excel add-in, custom web pages or any 3rd party applications using the available APIs (web services, OLE, ActiveX, C++)
• The number of Performance Anywhere clients - 1st connection is included, up to 5 additional clients are available in the Adroit Ignite HMI software offering.
• The number of Adroit Air App clients - 1st connection is included, up to 5 additional clients are available in the Adroit Ignite HMI software offering.
Once all criteria have been taken into account, all the standard tools and features of Adroit Ignite HMI Software can be used to build the solution.

Remote Client Options
• Up to 2 additional Operator Connections (excluding 1st free connection, if used remotely from Agent Server)
• Up to 5 Performance Anywhere Clients (excluding 1st free connection)
• Up to 5 Adroit Air Clients (excluding 1st free connection)
The functionality of all the packages is uniform, irrespective of the number of Agents and remote clients.
The default license is done using our soft licensing mechanism. (T&C's apply)
Alternatively, you may purchase a USB dongle/HASP software protection key, which is inserted into the USB port of the computer on which the Agent Server is running.
This HASP is then programmed in accordance with your specific license agreement.
Please note this option makes it possible to transfer between machines. However, this costs US$50 per key plus transport additional to the cost of the software.
On purchasing Adroit Ignite HMI Software, the customer receives the following:
On the completion of your purchase of the Software, you will receive the following:
• A link to the latest release of the software containing all of the tools to configure and run the system, including all available PLC drivers/interfaces, over 300 pre-configured graphic objects such as meters, lights, conveyors, pumps etc., sample applications, and a comprehensive help system.
• A temporary license valid for 30 days. This temporary license can be used on as many machines as the purchaser would like and will include all the features as per the order placed.
Once the payment has cleared, which could take up to 30 days depending on the region, the purchaser will receive a notification via email with instructions on how to obtain a permanent license.
This permanent license will then be generated and will then apply to the machine intended for use in the final application.
NB This final license is NOT transferrable.
